The Rodman Energy Group Members: Managing Directors
Prior to joining COSCO, Mr. Weidner managed Weidner & Co., a financial intermediary specializing in the energy sector, which he founded in 1994. From 1988-1994, Mr. Weidner worked in all phases of the oil and gas institutional funds management business for RIMCO, an oil and gas investment firm based in Avon, Connecticut. Prior to RIMCO, Mr. Weidner was employed in the commercial lending group at The Bank of New England in 1987, and prior to that as a petroleum geologist in the Appalachian Basin and in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Weidner earned a B.A. from The College of Wooster and an M.S. in Geology from Kent State University. Mr. Weidner also contributes regularly on the subject of Financing for Energy to the industry and financial press.
Mr. Kessey is a Managing Director of Rodman & Renshaw, LLC and The Rodman Energy Group. For Rodman Energy, Mr. Kessey, while managing the Houston office, is responsible for sourcing new financing clients, principally in Texas, as well as serving those already under contract. Based on his broad experience at COSCO and at Rodman Energy, Mr. Kessey is a quick judge of appropriate company-investor matches and the relevant issues to work through to reach and achieve a financial closing, whether on debt or equity issues. Prior to joining and helping found Rodman Energy pursuant to the merger in June 2008, Mr. Kessey had been affiliated with COSCO Capital Management LLC since January 2000, which he formally joined in May of that year. In January 2001, Mr. Kessey became a Member of COSCO and was appointed a Principal. For COSCO Mr. Kessey provided a crucial co-lead role on most of its U.S. financings. He also served as COSCO’s Chief Financial Officer, in which capacity he also acted on an interim basis for a number of COSCO’s Clients. Mr. Kessey continues to act as the principal contact for the various investments made by the former COSCO principals either directly or through COSCO Investments, LP, which were excepted from the sale to Rodman & Renshaw and continue owned independently of Rodman Energy. From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Kessey served as Manager Corporate Finance for Integrated Seismic Solutions, after which he acted as an independent consultant, providing financial advisory services to independent oil and gas businesses. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Kessey was employed by American Exploration Company (“AEC”), where he held various positions, ultimately serving as Manager Corporate Planning. Prior to AEC, he was employed as a staff accountant for the public accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Kessey was graduated in 1986 by The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance, Real Estate and Accounting. He has been a licensed CPA (Texas) since 1992. Vice President
Mr. Reimbold is a Vice President of Investment Banking at Rodman & Renshaw and The Rodman Energy Group, based in Houston, TX. Prior to joining the Rodman Energy Group in May 2009, Mr. Reimbold served as Director of Capital Markets for PLS, Inc. where he specialized in facilitating sales of domestic oil and gas properties and mid-stream assets. Previously, Mr. Reimbold worked as a financial analyst for the Bank of Oklahoma Energy Group and Ensaga Energy, LLC. In 2007, Mr. Reimbold co-authored The Braking Point: America’s Energy Dreams and Global Economic Realities, with Energy Advocates President Mark A. Stansberry. The book discusses the impending global energy crisis. Mr. Reimbold is a member of the Houston Energy Finance Group, Energy Advocates, and the Center for LNG. Mr. Reimbold graduated with a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Tulsa where he studied geopolitics and international energy markets with former Deputy Secretary of Energy, R. Dobie Langenkamp. |
